PGRE Producer Equity Program
One of the goals of Prairie Green Renewable Energy Inc, Mission Statement is the inclusion of Area Producers to have the opportunity to become stake holders and benefit in the “value added” aspect of producing a sustainable renewable fuel and high value co-product utilizing the area available feedstock. This proposed win win strategy for Area Producer involvement is the “brain child” originated by several local area grain producers that was presented to PGRE in July, 2007. After extensive review and additional consultation with other NESRE Area grain producers this plan was adapted by PGRE as the “Go Forward Strategy” to allow Area Producer the opportunity to become substantial equity partners in the NESRE 50.3 MGY Ethanol Project being proposed for Hudson Bay Saskatchewan.
The concept of Area Producer Equity Participation is based on the principle of Producer Shareholders (with producer share issue tied to delivery units) being given the benefit of “delivery rights off the combine” for a specified number of bushels per “Delivery Unit” and being able to set the strike grain delivery price within a specified period of time.
The PGRE Producer Equity Program is designed to provide Area Producers with a total “Off Combine” barley and peas grain deliver of up to 6,000,000 bushels during the harvest season and at the same time provide the NESRE Plant with a reserve supply of feedstock for ethanol production. A total of 300 “Off Combine” Delivery Units will be made available to Area Producers on a “first come first serve” basis following the filing and approval of the Producer Equity Participation Offering Memorandum
A “Producer Equity Participation Offering Memorandum” that define the detailed terms and conditions and be a legally binding document for the PGRE Area Producer Equity Program is expected to be available the start of the 2nd Quarter of 2008.
Information meeting are currently being scheduled for June & July, 2008 in Producer Area locations to determine Producer interest to participate in the Proposed Producer Equity Program. Representatives from Prairie Green Renewable Energy Inc will be in attendance to present an overview of the NESRE Project and to answer Producer / Feedstock supply questions and present Area Producers with further information on this unique project that will have a profound benefit to Producers in Northeastern Saskatchewan
